@lelazary curious if you were able to determine how to change the power output in any of the work you did on the UV-5R or UV-3R. Your website where you documented your work appears to be down.
As best I can tell from the UV-5R schematic it looks like there is a GPIO output from the micro to select VHF vs. UHF for the power amplification section, and also a DAC output from the micro to adjust the power output. There's also GPIO outputs that appear to control voltage to the receive and transmit paths between the antenna and the RDA1846 module. Wondering if you're able to confirm any of those (looks like the function to set power in your code is empty at the moment).
